[RL with Simon]

After talking with Pegasus late into night Chibiusa feel asleep. It wasn't a very deep sleep and she felt restless the whole time. Eventually she woke up again and something didn't feel quite right. She winced a bit as she stretched and yawned. Slowly and groggily she sat up and rubbed her eyes. It wasn't until she actually opened her eyes that things went bad. It was dark. She could barely see what was in front of her. There's no way her attic room would be that dark. Even at night the streetlights and stars leaked their glow into her window.

Frantically she felt around only to have her arm touch something soft...it was skin. Someone else's skin. There was someone lying next to her. Immediately she leaped out of the bed and let out a shrill cry. And as she did she felt a tight pain form in her chest, causing her to scream even more and collapse to her knees.

He pulled her into Lagann's cockpit with him, "I need both hands for this, but hold onto me, okay?" The cover closed over them, he grabbed onto the controls.

Alright, this was going to be awkward, but it had be to done. With a sigh she wrapped her arm around his waist. It was the only way she suspected you could hold on if there was trouble, which she suspected there would be.

"Is that okay? Am I in the way?"

"You're fine." And Simon, in Gurren Lagann, jumped from the deck of the Dai-Gurren. Lower-level ganmen though they were, they were ganmen. And he had to fight with someone who had no idea of what was going on. The way Gurren Lagann moved with Simon would have been surprising to most people--it was as if he'd been doing it his whole life.

It was a strange experience being inside of a giant robot. And the way it moved was not the way she would have expected. But all in all it was an interesting experience. She was actually pretty excited to be able to tell Pegasus about it later. What would he think about it?

But then she supposed that she should wait to make sure they survived in one piece. Remembering the enemies attacking them made her a little more frightened, but she was trusting in Simon and she would keep doing so since she couldn't be of any help in the situation.

As Simon finished off the ganmen, two of them, he retracted the drill in Gurren's right arm. He was panting, but this is the place he belonged. It was obvious--everything people had said about his existence not being fighting had been wrong. He smiled at Chibiusa. "You okay?"

"Yeah," she nodded and pulled back so that only their hands were touching. "You were pretty good you know," she said with a grin. "I've never been in something like this before but it's pretty cool."

"Ah!" Simon blushed again. He couldn't think of anything to say. "T-thanks." He smiled.
